We’re building the leadership team and crews that will carry Restoration Tree Care into its next chapter. Priority openings are the roles we’re filling first.
General Manager / President
Reports to: Thomas Mercer, Owner / CEO
Lead Restoration Tree Care through its next stage of growth. This is the most important leadership role in the organization: you become the owner’s operating partner and take responsibility for running the business day-to-day. This is not an office-management position.
Key responsibilities
- Own day-to-day operations of Restoration Tree Care.
- Translate the owner’s vision into an executable operating plan.
- Establish company goals, priorities and KPIs.
- Lead weekly leadership and operating meetings.
- Monitor revenue, gross margin, labor productivity and profitability.
- Recruit, hire, onboard and retain employees.
- Develop Crew Leaders and future managers.
- Oversee production, scheduling, capacity, equipment and fleet planning.
- Oversee the sales pipeline and customer experience.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and solve them.
What we’re looking for
- 5–10+ years of leadership experience in a field-service business.
- Experience managing 10–30+ employees.
- Demonstrated P&L responsibility.
- Strong operational and financial acumen.
- Excellent people-management skills.
- Experience with scheduling, production and fleet/equipment.
- Tree care, landscaping, construction, home services or specialty contracting preferred.
The right person
You naturally ask, “What is keeping this business from operating better?” You identify problems, build a plan, involve the right people and follow through. You are equally comfortable looking at a P&L, talking to a customer and standing in a tree yard with a crew.
Production Manager / Lead Foreman
Reports to: General Manager / President
Turn sold work into safe, efficient and profitable production. You are the leader of our field organization and will initially function as both Production Manager and Lead Foreman, developing Crew Leaders who can independently lead multiple crews as we grow.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate daily production.
- Assign crews and equipment to jobs.
- Conduct daily crew meetings and confirm job scope before crews leave the yard.
- Monitor production hours and job profitability.
- Inspect completed work and maintain workmanship standards.
- Manage safety and industry compliance.
- Maintain equipment readiness and coordinate repairs.
- Train and develop Crew Leaders.
- Handle field problems and customer issues.
- Develop storm-response capacity.
What we’re looking for
- 5+ years professional tree-care experience.
- Strong climbing and rigging background.
- Experience with removals and pruning.
- Strong equipment knowledge and crew leadership.
- Strong safety record and communication skills.
- Ability to train less-experienced employees.
- CDL and ISA certification preferred.

Senior Crew Leader / Lead Climber
Reports to: Production Manager
Lead a professional tree-care crew from the ground through completion of the job. A hands-on leadership role for someone who takes pride in excellent tree work, safety, equipment and developing people.
Key responsibilities
- Lead a 3–4 person tree-care crew.
- Conduct daily safety meetings and review job scope.
- Perform advanced climbing and rigging; execute removals and pruning.
- Operate aerial equipment as qualified.
- Protect homes, landscaping and customer property.
- Direct ground personnel and maintain equipment.
- Communicate jobsite issues to the Production Manager.
- Train apprentices and developing climbers.
- Represent Restoration professionally with customers.
What we’re looking for
- 5+ years professional tree climbing.
- Advanced rigging and large-removal experience.
- Strong chainsaw and aerial-lift skills.
- Chipper/loader experience.
- Strong safety record and valid driver’s license.
- CDL and ISA certification preferred.

Sales Arborist
Reports to: General Manager / President
Develop relationships with homeowners and property managers, identify tree-care needs, create professional recommendations and convert those opportunities into profitable work. We aren’t looking for someone who simply writes estimates — we want a trusted advisor.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct residential and commercial property assessments.
- Identify tree-health, pruning, removal and risk-management needs.
- Develop professional recommendations and estimates.
- Follow up consistently with customers and maintain accurate CRM records.
- Communicate sold-job scope to Production.
- Build referral relationships and commercial opportunities.
- Identify opportunities for recurring maintenance and build long-term customer relationships.
What we’re looking for
- 2–5+ years arboriculture/tree-care experience.
- Strong knowledge of trees and pruning.
- Previous estimating or sales experience.
- Excellent communication and follow-up.
- Comfortable using CRM/software.
- Valid driver’s license.
- ISA Certified Arborist strongly preferred.

You don’t “sell trees.” You educate customers, identify problems, recommend the right solution and build enough trust that customers want Restoration to become their long-term tree-care partner.

Climber / Apprentice Climber
Reports to: Crew Leader
Work as part of a professional tree-care crew performing pruning, removals, rigging and general tree-care services. We’re developing this position into a career path, not a dead-end job.
Key responsibilities
- Perform climbing and tree-care work according to skill level.
- Assist with pruning and removals; learn advanced rigging.
- Operate chainsaws safely and assist with aerial operations.
- Maintain equipment and follow safety procedures.
- Learn from Crew Leaders and senior climbers.
- Progress toward independent climbing and leadership.
What we’re looking for
- Apprentice: strong work ethic, desire to learn, physical ability, safety mindset and dependability.
- Experienced Climber: 2+ years professional tree climbing, strong pruning/removal skills, rigging experience and chainsaw proficiency.
- Aerial-lift experience preferred.
The right person
Career path: Ground Technician → Apprentice Climber → Climber → Lead Climber → Crew Leader.
Ground Technician
Reports to: Crew Leader
A critical member of the production team. Ground Technicians support climbers, operate equipment, maintain the jobsite and help ensure every project is completed safely and professionally. Prior tree-care experience is not required for the right candidate.
Key responsibilities
- Assist climbers and Crew Leaders; run ropes and rigging systems under direction.
- Operate chippers and other equipment after training.
- Drag and process brush; load and secure logs.
- Maintain a clean, safe jobsite and protect customer property.
- Maintain tools and equipment.
- Assist with storm work and emergency response.
- Learn professional tree-care skills.
What we’re looking for
- Dependable, hard-working and coachable.
- Safety-minded and physically capable.
- Team-oriented and comfortable working outdoors.
- Interested in learning a skilled trade and advancing your career.
- CDL or mechanical/equipment experience is a plus.

Office / Customer Service & Scheduling Coordinator
Reports to: General Manager
The organizational hub connecting customers, sales and production. You make sure what was promised to the customer gets communicated clearly and scheduled efficiently.
Key responsibilities
- Answer customer calls and emails; schedule consultations and jobs.
- Confirm appointments and communicate schedule changes.
- Maintain crew calendars and coordinate jobs with Production.
- Manage weather-related changes and keep customers informed.
- Maintain CRM records; prepare and send documents.
- Coordinate invoices and payments.
- Support the GM and Sales Arborist.
What we’re looking for
- 2+ years customer service, scheduling or administrative experience.
- Excellent organization and communication.
- Comfortable juggling multiple priorities.
- Strong computer skills; CRM/software experience preferred.
- Calm under pressure and professional demeanor.
